We loved the arrangement of the main floor because the kitchen with its island was open to the rest of the room. The table was large enough for eating and crafts/lego building. The tv was great at the end of the room. However, there was only one remote for the whole cabin! It would have been nice to have directions on using the satellite TV. There is no closet in the main floor bedroom so some hooks to hang clothing would have been nice. There needs to be another heat source in the basement because it is very cold down there. The queen beds in the basement need to be replaced because the springs are shot and the beds are uncomfortable. I loved the cabin but there needs to be some maintenance done on it.

The house is nice, but internet was out. They have alot of little broken things that need fixed. We didn't use the hottub, but if you are going to have a rental you can't put all of those stipulations on it. Beds are terrible and the pillows are worse.

Everything was great. We had everything we needed. We did have some nighttime visitors (skunks) to our overfull garbage cans leftover from the previous guests as garbage service only comes once a week. I immediately got ahold of the property manager, and the problem was quickly resolved! Only complaint, the couch in the basement is broken. We have a group of 5 families that travel here each year together and rent two house to share between us all. They are always clean and ready to go when we get there and so close to terry peak ski area! Even when we need something we get a quick response and someone drops it off sometime that day.

Our stay was the perfect holiday getaway. We had everything we needed to cook all of our Christmas favorites. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and spacious. the owner decorated the cabin beautifully with a perfect Christmas tree to place all of our gifts under. The views were lovely. The location is super convenient. We could actually walk to Terry Peak. The owner was very helpful and responsive with any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely come back again!

The location is nice with parking for 3 vehicles. The house size is spacious with 3 levels for sleeping. Kitchen was well stocked for use.
We replaced the kitchen sponges and paper towels we used for the next renters. All appliances were clean and worked great. The hot tub was dirty so we didn't use it. The vacuum needs to be replaced, I used it during our stay and it wouldn't even pick up trail mix. The beds should have mattress protectors on them. Pillows and bath towels also need to be replaced. In the basement we had no wash cloths in our bathroom and only 2 washcloths in the other bathrooms. A drawer handle was missing in the kitchen and I had to replace 2 lightbulbs in the basement bathroom. I had trouble with the door lock on the main floor patio door. The basement couch could use some throw pillows.

My family had an amazing time on this property. It was beautiful inside and outside. The property manager did a wonderful job communicating with me when I had questions and comments.

Our toaster didn't work and we called to report it and got a new toaster on the next day. Overall the cabin was great for our family, could use an extra fry pan and few more utensils, but nothing major to complain about.

We had a wonderful time staying in the hillside cabin. It was as described and we found it clean. It is conveniently located to see area attractions like Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park.

It was a good place to stay,rooms were clean and the rest of the place,the ground floor bedroom had no place to hang clothes or dressers.Roads out front were not real good but overall we had a good time.

Large family gathering! Bedroom layouts were good, the sheets were cheap microfiber. Overall everything else was good, nicely stocked kitchen!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The burnt wood made for some amazing pictures. It was pretty well stocked as well. A couple issues we had were we kept finding carpenter ants all over in the house. Imagine waking up to those crawling on you! We also had a huge storm come in and we were out of power for 24 hours and damage was done to the outside of the cabin. We tried to call and text the owners/manager for the cabin and no one would answer their phone. I was texting the number earlier in our stay about some other details so I know that number was able to communicate through text messaging. Since we paid a large amount of money to stay there, it would have been nice for some communication on their end since the power was out for over 24 hours.

We had a great time staying at the cabin in Lead! It was extremely clean, well stocked and had lots of room for our friends to spread out!
The area is very rocky, so if you want to be outside, you need to do so on the deck or patio. For a cabin that size, a slightly larger hot tub would be nice.

Great rental. We slept 16 and enjoyed the home. Really the only two things that were slightly less than positive were that the road is really sloped and, if icy, would be difficult for vehicles without 4-wheel drive and that the wifi can only handle a device or two at a single time. I had to be really nit-picky to come up with those two comments as it really was wonderful lodging. Other than that, we all thought it was a great place to stay.

The place was nicely decorated for Christmas, offered plenty of space for our large family, and it's close vicinity to Terry Peak Ski Resort was perfect! For those who weren't skiing, just hanging out in the cabin was so cozy and relaxing, with beautiful views. It was a vacation of a lifetime!

This house was amazing for our 4 families to share our Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday. The kids enjoyed sledding, hiking and being outdoors. The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed and provided us the perfect setting for our holiday meal. The rooms and accommodations were 5 star and very clean. We can’t wait to go back!
