Fun little cabin, close to the community room so the kids just walked down the hill. The hot tub was a little small and the jets were inconsistent but we were away from home enjoying the hills!

We really enjoyed the cabin. Was nice and clean. Had 11 in our group with the children and had enough room for everyone.Enjoyed the hot tubs and pool especially the hot tub by the cabin! Saw deer and turkeys right by the cabin which was great! Would recommend to friends. The parking could be better though.

Renting the cabin was easy and we had a great time staying at Claim Jumper. There was enough space for our crew. Loved that the kitchen was fully equipt for making meals.

The cabin was clean and modern. It was fully stocked with all you may need in the kitchen and plenty of linen. A nice surprise was having the neighborhood clubhouse right behind the house.

Nice place in Gilden Mountain. Great amenities, especially with the clubhouse. Close enough to everything Deadwood has to offer, yet far enough to get away.

The house was perfect for 3 adults and 4 kids. Very clean. Love that the pool was a short walk away, really nice area to stay.

We had 8 people during our stay, 4 adults, 4 kids. Space was great for all of us. Had many items needed but weren’t aware that we needed to replace some items if we used them per the book. So FYI you may need to replace some items if you finish them(TP, soaps, aluminum foil). Had a couple questions and able to text message with a timely reply. Overall cabin was great? It is close to other cabins and parking can be tight (we had 2 vehicles with trailers & 2 side by sides) but we were able to park one vehicle in space for a private cabin that seems to be part of Claim Jumper. Hot water was maintained throughout our stay and that was usually both showers being used at same time, water pressure remained good too.

Our biggest downfall was the clubhouse. Very disappointed with that as we had booked as it had a treadmill and an additional great space for the kids to hang out. However it is not overly usable. There is no treadmill and an incredible amount of dust. Looks like construction work being done. The pool table and game table was usable but it was so dirty in there it wasn’t enjoyable. Kids used the pool though which was great! I had friends from home comment to me that they have stayed at this resort area neatly 2 years ago and were working on the clubhouse then so just beware of this about the clubhouse if that’s an appealing thing for you. When I messaged about this I was informed they don’t manage the clubhouse but know they are working as fast as they can to get the tile work done.

This cabin was perfect!! All the finishing are new and in great shape, beautiful and cozy. The management was great. We skied at Terry Peak which was so close! We will definitely rent there again!

The Claim Jumper worked very well as our base for riding Utvs throughout the black hills. The cabin was very clean and the clubhouse with pool and hot tubs was used quite a bit. Parking was a little tight for 3 trucks and trailers but we made it work.

This was the second home we loved it just as much as the first. This area is beautiful, just far enough out of Deadwood you feel like you are out of the rush but close enough you can swing in whenever you want. Amazing home, made for a very fun and relaxing experience for our family. Thank you!

We rented this cabin for our girls, and their families to meet us for a family vacation. The cabin was nice and well equipped. I LOVED the full size laundry. The hot tub became low while we were there, but a simple text had someone there in less than 24 hours.

We came into Mountain Bike for the weekend. It was a perfect location. House was wonderful. We stayed there with our 4 children so the club house was an added bonus for them! Will definitely be staying here again when we head back this way!

Perfect home and location for our family of 6, with room to spread out! It was a nice place to stay rather than a motel room. First time staying at a cabin and it was wonderful. Close enough to town to get things we needed and forgot to bring and not too far away from the site seeing and adventures we did. Had a great time and hope to do again sometime.

We had previously stayed in the Gilded Mountain subdivision and knew it was a no-brainer to stay again (in a different cabin this time) when we booked our reservation. The location is great and the 'Claim Jumper' rental was exactly as we imagined. Our group of 4 adults and 2 children had plenty of room in this property. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was very well stocked; including pots & pans, serve ware, and even griddle, waffle maker, blender, etc. The hot tub was also great and a nice way to end the day.

My only two negatives:
- The parking is a inconvenient as there is only really room for one vehicle next to the cabin (the driveway slopes down). However, there is additional parking up top, on the street. This just makes it troublesome when unloading items, etc. Also, there is NOT a garage as pictured. This might impact those with motorcycles or snowmobiles, etc. that planned on having that option for parking.
- Second, there is no WIFI in the cabin and the cable is very limited. This would be a great addition for those that might have to work remotely or simply stream videos, etc.

Such a beautiful place! We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our long weekend at Claim Jumper. House was super clean. We had a great time over Thanksgiving with 3 families staying at this house. The house was very clean and the kitchen well-stocked. Being able to spread out from the basement to the loft was nice for napping babies. Definitely would recommend and we will be back!

We had a wonderful time at Claim Jumper cabin. The hot tub water was a yellow color when we got there I think from being closed up for awhile however the hot tubs at the clubhouse were clean and enjoyed. The kids also enjoyed swimming in the pool the end of September. We arrived and couldn't find the crock pot that we were told was there and I called and Budi quickly brought us another one to use. It was a great vacation and we will be using these properties again in the future.

We originally started our reunion in North Dakota over the 4th of July weekend, to meet relatives of my husband. Mr. Kusser was wonderful and professional to work with, even when having problems with our phone service and technical issues with the small amount of paperwork that needed to be filled out. The cabin has MORE than enough blankets/pillows, dishes, cooking supplies and utensils, etc!! The pictures of the cabin online do not do this property justice!! One of the best vacations we've taken and we will definetly be coming back!!!

We planned this as a Christmas present. The cabin was beautiful. We were unable to get the smart tv working downstairs. I emailed the manager and heard nothing. I have been home a week. I tried calling the manager and also emailed her to see when I would be receiving my deposit back. I have heard nothing from her. Also the morning we left there was a lot of snow. There was no snow removal done. It would have been nice to see a snow plow to have gone through. Sure glad I didn't have any major questions or things happen, there was no communication with anyone. I will definitely do the cabin experience again. But not this one. I would recommend to a friend but let them know going in about the situation.

We rented this to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary and all 13 of us were more than impressed with the Claim Jumper cabin. The kids were a bit bummed that the air hockey table wasn't there anymore, as it was advertised and they were looking forward to it. However; I LOVED the steam room in the clubhouse - that made up for it! :) Only recommendation is to maybe put a few more options in the clubhouse, but the cabin itself was excellent in every way!

This is our second year renting the Gilded Mt. cabins and each time we have absolutely loved it. THe property is very well taken care of and the owners are very cooperative. My grandpa is 87 and this is the only place he insists on making a yearly tradition. We all love it so much and can't wait to come back next year.

We originally started our reunion in North Dakota over the 4th of July weekend, to meet relatives of my husband. Our family of six, my brother-in-law and his wife, and my in-laws, then traveled to the Claim Jumper Cabin. This was the first time either of them have stayed and rented a property. Needless to say, they were very impressed and we all had a wonderful time. We had plenty of room for everyone, the kids loved being able to walk to the pool/clubhouse, and the location is AMAZING. We were able to see Devil's Tower, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, PLUS add in sightseeing in Sturgis and Deadwood, and a little hunting/fishing for the boys -- AND we were only there for 4 days/3 nights!!! Mr. Kusser was wonderful and professional to work with, even when having problems with our phone service and technical issues with the small amount of paperwork that needed to be filled out. The cabin has MORE than enough blankets/pillows, dishes, cooking supplies and utensils, etc!! The pictures of the cabin online do not do this property justice!! One of the best vacations we've taken and we will definetly be coming back!!!
