Perfect location for a trip to the black hills. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Communication was good from the agents and the place was clean and ready to go. We will be back!

This was my second time renting this cabin. Overall I love the cabin and was perfect for the group I was with. The only downfall is it was very slick outside the garage door, having ice melt available would’ve been nice. You could tell that not much shoveling was done by the doors either. The upstairs king bedroom also has no working lights in it.

I had a great experience at the Grand Lookout Lodge. There were 10 of us (3 families). The lodge was large enough for each family to have their own space. The kitchen is very large which made meal prep easy. We really liked to wrap around deck. The children could play out there and we even played bags. This lodge is closer to Deadwood and Leads. If you want to go into Rapid City it is a bit of a drive. This didn't bother us as we drove all over the hills. There is a very nice washer and dryer which is handy when traveling with kids. Loved everything about this cabin. Clean and spacious. Well stocked. Love the hottub! Close to Terry Peak. We bring a group every year and this is our favorite we've stayed in so far.

We had a mini family reunion here and the cabin was perfect. We range from 3 years old to 70 and there was things to entertain us all. It was so clean and the property manager was so easy to work with.

The home was well supplied with everything we needed. With the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms everyone had their own private space. It was close to all the attractions in the Black Hills.

This place was perfect for our group of 9. It was clean and had everything needed and more. Management was responsive to questions. The only downside, if you call it that, was the poor internet. Although great to disconnect, hard to map out to the next destination and track kids when they went out on their own.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The staff was great to work with. There was a little garbage out side the house and some wall damage that I documented, but didn't have to worry about getting my deposit back. I will stay there again in the future.

The pictures didn’t do it justice! This was MASSIVE had several kitchen things and towels etc. we definitely over packed! It was clean and well kept! We will be back

The lodge was very clean with lots of space so that nobody felt crowded. The hottub was great and it had all the ammenities you needed. The only improvement I would recommend is some new towels and a better BBQ which was very dirty and rusted through.

Perfect family vacation home. Hot tub, pool table, games, beautiful views, beautiful kitchen, so much room to spread out, and close to the ski resort. You will need 4 wheel drive to get to the cabin if the road is icy or snowy, however, the road did make for great sledding. Would definitely stay there again.

Wow! It was absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of space for the 15 of us. All of us slept well. The kitchen was fabulous and the owner had lots of stables and lots of cooking equipment . We would love to do it again

Grand Lookout Lodge is a fantastic rental. We have been renting vacation homes for over 30 years and this cabin was among the top two rentals. The location is somewhat secluded from town but the beautiful scenery was worth it. The cabin is beautifully decorated, has a tremendous amount of room, and wonderful porches which almost surround the house. We saw turkeys, deer, chipmunks, squirrels and another animal we could not identify. It is about 1.25 hours from the airport, 1.5/2 from Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. It was a pretty drive to Custer and Mt. Rushmore. It is about 30 minutes from Spearfish. Deadwood and Lead are very close. Take the Boothill tour in Deadwood, hike Spearfish Canyon, go to Sturgis, and eat at Lewie's the wi-fi was great and so were the hamburgers.
The only suggestions are to add more pots to the kitchen. There are tons of dishes and pans but only 3 pots. We cooked and grilled almost every night and we needed more for 9 people. Also, bring fans if you are staying upstairs, it was very hot and stuffy. It was freezing downstairs. I would suggest a window unit, fans or a second air conditioner, it was stifling at times when we were home during the day. Also, please add a curtain to the game room door, our grandkids were freaked out when they got up at night. The sliding glass door was hard to lock, so a security bar would be nice to have. You have to lift the door to lock it and only the 2 men could do it. The biggest problem for our family was the wi-fi, it was a hot spot, and with 9 people connecting to it, it was not adequate. We could not get much to download or upload. I could not connect to my office and had to use and renew my own data from my ATT plan. The teenagers were not happy campers.
All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and the house was great except for the wi-fi connection. We loved the grill, the porches, the hot tub and the scenery. Budi was a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this gorgeous home to friends

We celebrated a birthday with 14 people in the cabin. We cooked, relaxed and had a fantastic time. One group grabbed an Uber and went into Deadwood. The next day some skied at Terry Peak while others hung out at the cabin. Everything was as stated and we really enjoyed our time. We will book again.

Most of our group was there to snowmobile and the only downside of this lodge was that it's located at the top of the hill and it was not possible to get trailers up there. We even had a hard time with a few vehicles since it was icy but the owners were very helpful and came right away in the morning to help clean it off. Overall it was a great place!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin with lots of family. There was plenty of room for everyone and a large dining table so we could eat together. It took us a while to figure out the gas fireplace and the Internet since there were no instructions. Also, the request to remove shoes while indoors was problematic since the polished wooden stairs to the top floor are VERY slippery in socks. I recommend bringing some slippers with rubber soles. Otherwise we made some great memories here!

Grand Lookout Lodge is a fantastic rental. We have been renting vacation homes for over 30 years and this cabin was among the top two rentals. The location is somewhat secluded from town but the beautiful scenery was worth it. The cabin is beautifully decorated, has a tremendous amount of room, and wonderful porches which almost surround the house. We saw turkeys, deer, chipmunks, squirrels and another animal we could not identify. It is about 1.25 hours from the airport, 1.5/2 from Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. It was a pretty drive to Custer and Mt. Rushmore. It is about 30 minutes from Spearfish. Deadwood and Lead are very close. Take the Boothill tour in Deadwood, hike Spearfish Canyon, go to Sturgis, and eat at Lewie's the wi-fi was great and so were the hamburgers.
The only suggestions are to add more pots to the kitchen. There are tons of dishes and pans but only 3 pots. We cooked and grilled almost every night and we needed more for 9 people. Also, bring fans if you are staying upstairs, it was very hot and stuffy. It was freezing downstairs. I would suggest a window unit, fans or a second air conditioner, it was stifling at times when we were home during the day. Also, please add a curtain to the game room door, our grandkids were freaked out when they got up at night. The sliding glass door was hard to lock, so a security bar would be nice to have. You have to lift the door to lock it and only the 2 men could do it. The biggest problem for our family was the wi-fi, it was a hot spot, and with 9 people connecting to it, it was not adequate. We could not get much to download or upload. I could not connect to my office and had to use and renew my own data from my ATT plan. The teenagers were not happy campers.
All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and the house was great except for the wi-fi connection. We loved the grill, the porches, the hot tub and the scenery. Budi was a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this gorgeous home to friends

The Grand Lookout Lodge met every need my family and I could have asked for. The location was ideal since we Tubed at Deer Mountain and skied Terry Peak, the cabin was close to both areas. We enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. We will definitely stay there again.
