Super clean and extremely comfortable, this property is very well thought out. The hot tub and patio were nice, the deck was awesome to relax on. The heated pool was very comfortable, relaxing and after a swim we enjoyed one of the gas firepits. Happy trails has all the amenities that you need and then some. All you need to bring with you is your clothes and food, the rest is there. Book it. You'll be glad you did. Just don't take one of my weeks as I am going back for sure.

Absolutely perfect family Black Hills retreat

Feel the cozy, luxurious, pampered, but feel “at home”. The loft room has all the views, the Primary has all the feels, and the bunkroom is a kids best dream. Outside a hot tub and fireplace with deer visiting on the daily. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need. On the rainy nights we cozied up by the fire in the great room. Dreamy, truly dreamy!

The ping pong table and bean bags boards were a hit with everyone. The kids played ping pong almost every night when we got back from exploring. It was wonderful to have a hot tub on site after a long day. And having the clubhouse pool nearby was great! Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful, convenient location. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen and living area were nice and open to visit and prepare meals from. The covered deck was very nice to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views. The garage was furnished with a ping pong table and bean bags and a small refrigerator. The 2 washers and dryers came in handy as well. We would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking to stay close to Lead or Deadwood. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Great getaway for a weekend in the hills!

It was stocked with all the things that we needed to cook. The location is just a quick cab ride, to deadwood. It was brand new and super clean. The only downside I would say was the hot tub was pretty small. Overall great property!

There are large windows throughout the main floor and loft. Early risers will love the loft where we got to see soft, beautiful snow falling gently straight down. This was a wonderful home to stay in and our group hopes to come back in the future.

Welcome to your new favorite vacation home located in the highly popular Powder House Pass area aptly named Happy Trails! You'll love the fully paved roads to the property, walking distance over to the communal clubhouse with two pools, fire-pit, shuffleboard and pool table and more! The longer driveway is great for parking trucks/trailers and it's right across the street from subdivision overflow parking lot making it perfect for additional trucks/trailers with your ATVs, side-by-sides, or snowmobiles!
The cabin is perfectly situated on a property full of trees, making you feel like you're away from it all but with great access to so many fun things to do in the area. You can enjoy a starry night sky while sitting in the hot tub, view local wildlife as it roams through the yard, or sit by the fire on the table fire-pit. With over 2420 sq. ft. inside spread across 3 levels, a partially covered deck, and a spacious patio on the lower level, there's room for everyone! The living and kitchen area is surrounded with floor-to-ceiling windows bringing the outside in, but still manages to provide an open-kitchen with a center island great for gathering everyone together with a great meal. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for you and your guests like a coffee maker, crock pot/slow cooker, pots/pans, and more. There's a comfortable seating area on the main level with a TV connected to internet streaming. You'll have high-speed internet also to stay connected! There's also a nice lower level living area with a TV and comfortably decorated that walks-out to the patio with a hot tub and gas fire pit. The oversized heated garage is great for parking your vehicles or side-by-sides and there's a second fridge located in the garage for additional space.
Located in the heart of the recreational corridor of the Northern Black Hills, you'll enjoy close proximity to the ATV and snowmobile trails and ATV/sled rentals located over at Recreational Springs. Trail #5 and the Mickelson trail run adjacent to the subdivision and provides easy connected access to the larger trail system in the area. Spearfish Canyon with it's rim-rock canyon walls, waterfalls, hiking and trails can be accessed in a short 5 - 10 minute drive and Deadwood is just a short 10 - 15 minute drive or taxi ride to enjoy the local restaurants and nightlife. The local ski resort, Terry Peak, is just a short 5 minute drive up to the main lodge. It has both skiing in the winter, and summer events like downhill mountain bike trails and archery contests! Main Black Hills attractions like Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Keystone, Custer State Park and more are all accessed within about an hour's drive down Hwy 385.
