The property was beautiful and clean. Beds were amazing. Only downfall was no railing on stairs. Working with this property manager was a pleasure. Highly recommend this property.

Clean well furnished house. A lot of trees around the house for privacy. Great deck to sit & enjoy the view. Wood was provided for the fireplace which we needed for the chili nights. Had rounded stairways to basement & loft which we weren't real fond of but we would still come back. All in all a great place.

Great cabin! Secluded had wildlife come to the cabin every day. Cozy beds, games, and a hot tub that was nice after having a busy day. Centrally located to many attractions. Access to the garage and grill made it easy for the motorcycles and suppers. Enjoyed our stay made for a great vacation.

The cabin was ok, pictures made you think there was lots of parking which was not correct. Very steep grade hard to get around with pickups, trailers and side by sides. Over all pretty clean but so much dust. On stairs, under the table and on nightstands and on furniture. Beds were not very comfortable. Especially the queen on the main floor. So soft hard for 2 people to sleep together. Living room furniture was very worn. Stairways up and down were unsafe with no railings. Kitchen was pretty well equipped but not overly. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderfully cozy and well maintained cabin nestled in the mountains. I recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.

Luckily there was a shovel in the garage. If you're staying in the area this cabin is the place to get.

This was our second time staying at Sleepy Bear Cabin. There’s a reason we came back. We love this area and this cabin. It’s cozy and inviting and the views are great!

Sleepy Bear Cabin was the perfect vacation home. We loved sitting on the porch watching the deer in the area. It was clean, plenty of kitchen supplies and had beautiful furnishings. Would definitely recommend this cabin for your next vacation.

Out riding UTV and Kool Deadwood Nights. Very nice place, drive way is steep but it is the Black Hiils! AC would be nice but it cools off nice at night.

We enjoyed our stay. Just like walking into your own home. Everything that you need to enjoy your stay. Only thing I would say is the parking was tough to get into and out with a ATV trailer. Very steep grade getting down to the cabin.

This cabin was simply amazing. Was east to find, backing a trailer down the driveway was a bit of a challenge but we only needed to do it once lol. The main area is very cozy with tons of natural light. The loft master bedroom was very nice, the bed was very very comfortable. (My only complaints on the master bed room are I wish the bath had a shower and the skylights had shades. It seemed like the sun was up at 430am and set at 10pm.) the kitchen had everything we needed, the basement was perfect for three teenage boys to hang out in. There were tons of board games they played and there was a wii. The upper deck was my favorite part with the propane heater watching the deer and listening to the turkeys hobble was great. Will definitely be back and have already recommended this cabin to others!!

Absolutely loved everything about the property. This place is a gem. We are already talking about a return trip and bringing our kids.
It is quiet and the view from the deck is amazing. We saw deer, turkeys and even a marmot.
Check in and check out process was super easy.

We had a nice three night get away in December. The cabin was clean and had every amenity we needed. The hot tub was the cherry on top on our stay.

Beautiful wooded cabin with great accommodations and close to nature! 4 miles from Deadwood and centrally located near all of South Dakota’s attractions! Great views with large deck and well equipped kitchen!

Took our motorcycles to the Black Hills. Saw Sturgis, Deadwood, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore. Visited Custer Park, drove through the Needles. Incredible area and the perfect place to come home to every night!

This was a great cabin in the Black Hills. Three brothers and their spouses had room to chat and have fantastic meals at the cabin. The cabin was secluded enough to seem to be away from the rest of the world and close enough to civilization to tour the Hills. The only drawback of the cabin was the circular staircase.

Evenings were spent visiting on the spacious deck while watching deer down in the valley below. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Black Hills area.

(This year we did have to get our towels from the dryer upon arrival but we were also a bit early arriving. Also you may want to ask the house keepers to vacuum the couch cushions.) Bathrooms, kitchen and other areas were spotless. We will be back again!

The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. There were only two of us, but we noted that the home could have easily accommodated another two couples. The location was prime and offered views of mountain tops from large windows, allowing us to really feel in synch with the natural surroundings. We would definitely stay at this home again.

We spent a few days staying at this comfortable home that was well located close to the trails that we rode with our UTV's. The home provided everything we needed and was clean and well cared for. We would stay at this home again in the future.

We rented this as a long awaited motorcycle trip. The cabin was well taken care of and clean minus the upstairs bathroom/bedroom. There were chunks of hair on the bathroom floor, and I think the cleaning crew forgot to vacuum the bedroom carpet.
The beds were beds were very comfortable, and everyone slept well.
The hot tub was great to relax in after a long day of riding, and the kitchen was well stocked.
Prior to arrival I did contact the rental company to ensure that this was a motorcycle friendly rental, which I was told it was. We specifically loved the fact that we could store our bikes in the garage. However, when we arrived, we found a very steep driveway with large loose rocks which made for nerve racking and unsafe ascent and descent to the cabin. The garage also had multiple powersports in it, and we barely could squeeze our bikes in.
If coming back for just a general trip, we would definitely use this cabin again.
We will say renter beware if you are planning a trip that involves motorcycles due to garage, and driveway conditions. The road leading to the cabin is also gravel with multiple speed bumps, so could be an issue if you have a low riding bagger, as a few are rather large.

All 5 of us adults enjoyed our stay. The deck was our favorite place to hang out. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our meals. The views were great and the cabin was very comfortable and relaxing.

Couldn't recommend this place high enough. We enjoyed Jacobs Brewhouse & Grocer in Deadwood as well as Cheyanne Crossing. We had a steak dinner at the Franklin inn, but honestly would have gone back to Jacobs' for the friendly service and the attractive space. The food and cocktails were fantastic too. All in all a very memorable trip. We didn't do a ton of hiking, but from what we could see, there was plenty of it. I think next time we'll do more outdoor activities. Though Lead was a great place to visit and I'm guessing when it's in season is a cool spot to hang out. There's a brewery in the old Jail House in Lead that was a cool little spot and the beer was great. The girl tending bar was also super cool. I could go on and an about all the cool things we got to experience, but I'll let others discover those things on their own.
