Welcome to a new favorite vacation home for your visit to the Black Hills - Aspen Ski Chalet! This beautiful rustic ski themed cabin is perfectly located just a mile from Recreational Springs resort where you can find ATV and Snowmobile rentals and connect up to the local trail system easily from there. It's found just outside the entrance of the old Deer Mountain Ski resort, and very conveniently located in the heart of the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor. Spearfish Canyon with it's amazing hiking, biking, and waterfalls is less than a 15 minute drive away, the base of Terry Peak and local skiing is only 15 minutes away, and you can be visiting Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, and Sylvan lake in all under an hour's drive. There are so many things to see and do in the area, and Aspen Ski Chalet is perfectly located to enjoy them all!

After your daily adventures, you'll love coming back to this relaxing cabin setting. Local wildlife frequent the area and roam around the property, and the night starry skies are beautiful from this location. The hot tub is located on the upper wrap-around deck providing a great view of the surrounding forest. There's a great driveway perfect for trucks/trailers as well. Inside you'll find an open living area full of windows on the upper level with full kitchen area, gas fireplace and flat screen TV with Dish Network. The lower level is a great entertaining space with a pool table, foosball table, bar-top and TV, with a walk-out to the patio and outdoor area. The lower level is a great area for kids and adults to enjoy some games and family time together! With all these amenities, you're sure to have a great vacation. Black Hills Adventure Lodging Did an amazing job from the beginning to the end very easy to work with. We had a different property picked out but decided that we would like a bigger place. I emailed them a month before we left and within a hour we had a bigger place.
The house was perfect for us as we was a younger group oldest in there 50. I would not recommend it to an older group or anybody with problems with stairs. To get to top level it’s stairs two sets outside one inside. The house was roomy and clean. The pull out bed aren’t the best but we all know that.
I will rent again from Black Hills Adventure Lodging in a heartbeat. Thanks

We were at Aspen Ski Chalet for a Celebration of Life Ceremony. The Chalet was perfect for the large gathering and we were able to set up a slideshow. The decor is creative and interesting. We loved the rocking chair for two! The kitchen was great, but if you want a night out, there is a hamburger joint just down the road. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Chalet again.

This cabin is well decorated and furnished with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The downstairs family room is a great place to entertain. We rented three cabins together (34 family members) that accommodated us perfectly. close to Deadwood and many other attractions.

Our group had a great stay at the Aspen Ski Chalet. We found the property to be exactly what we expected. It was clean, well maintained and they were very responsive when we reached out to them. We enjoyed a weekend of skiing, and Terry Peak was just a quick drive away. The kids also had a blast sledding right at the cabin.

The house is very clean and accommodated everyone as shown. There are some steep stairs to climb to the second level so be aware if you have an elderly person or younger children. They do have a door at the top of the stairs to keep the little ones upstairs. Otherwise our stay was great!

The property is in a very scenic area and was a little tircky to find but so are many other things in that area. the house does need some updates badly., the beds are all outdated and there were large pieces of foam placed on them to try to create some sushion..very sad. the shower seems to have been a afterhtought as it is only about 4 ft up and any average hegiht person or taller cant use it. the house does not have AC-- that is not a problem as there are fans and many winidows.,.. but the problem is that the cranks for the bedroom windows are all broken off and just lying on the windo sills and you cant open the windows. The amenities in the the house are really great though. the hot tub, pool an game tables in the lower level, and the bar area in the lower level if you use that. these are great. i think if the mattresses were updated, the windows fixed and the showers put at a reasonable height this would be an outstadning place.

I loved the location the cabin was beautiful but too many stairs to get to the main level and when we got there and the next morning their were alot of dead moths on the floors and the last 2 days we killed like a dozen spiders in 2 of the rooms. But the overall I loved it there and it was peaceful! Thank you so much!
