Welcome to your new favorite home-away-from-home here at Hillside Creek Cabin. Located just a mile off Highway 385 and near the world-famous sugar shack burgers, between historic Deadwood and Hill City, it's in a great location to centralize your Black Hills adventures and visit to local attractions. It's located on a hillside with a creek below, overlooking a picturesque Black Hills valley in a private setting. It's nestled on 1 acre with with great proximity to local trails and attractions.. Within a few miles you can be enjoying the local ATV/snowmobile trail system and riding to your heart's desire! You're also within just 8 miles of Pactola Reservoir, one of the best lakes in the Black Hills to enjoy fishing, boating, water skiing, and the marina does have daily boat rentals! Within 10 miles of multiple trailheads to the Mickelson trail, it's perfect place if you're planning for a trip through the Black Hills for a long hike or tour on a mountain bike! Looking for a great night out gambling, seeing a show, or some amazing food? Deadwood is just 19 miles up Highway 385 as well! If you're planning a visit to view the major Black Hills attractions like Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and more, you can be there within 30 - 40 minutes and enjoying all day fun! Whether you're in the area to enjoy days full of hiking and biking, riding ATV/snowmobile trails, skiing Terry Peak, a day on the lake, or just some time to kick back and relax, you'll love Hillside Creek Cabin!

After your adventures on the trails, you'll love coming back to your very own private getaway. Inside you'll find a vaulted ceiling, fireplace, flat-screen TV (connected to satellite TV) and two bedrooms on the main (upper) level of the cabin. There's a full bathroom as well with a tub/shower combo and no stairs to these two bedrooms upper-level bedrooms from the parking area! It has a walk-out to the wrap-around covered deck with a great view of the valley below and the creek running along the property. There's Adirondack chairs on the deck for enjoying the local wildlife that stroll by or just taking in the natural beauty of the Black Hills. The lower level has a cozy family room with fireplace, flat-screen TV and opens to the kitchen area making a great open space for gathering. The kitchen includes a fully stocked kitchen with a standard coffee maker, dishwasher, oven/stove, fridge, and microwave. From the kitchen there's a patio door that leads to a walk out patio with a great view of the forest and valley below. Hillside Creek Cabin is a wonderful place to kick your feet up and enjoy some rest and relaxation after your Black Hills adventures. We welcome you on your next getaway!

Note - Highway 385 that runs near the property will be under construction for most of the Summer of 2024, and will likely cause delays getting to/from the property and other Black Hills destinations.

This house is located on a hillside in a nice quiet area overlooking a large open meadow. As others have noted, wildlife is plentiful. We saw deer and many turkeys every morning.

The house has an unusual design with the living room 2 bedrooms and bathroom in the upper level and kitchen dining area, one bedroom and combination bathroom laundry & storeroom in the lower level. The 2 levels are connected with a circular star case.

Although there are many dishes and cookware, we felt the quality of the cookware was a bit substandard as we eat most of our meals at the house.

Overall, we had a good experience!

The home was fantastic with multiple heat/ac units to help keep the property comfortable. Great location in the northern part of the central Black Hills. There was a lot of construction that hindered our travel but that didn't take away from the beautiful property.

We absolutely loved staying at this cozy cabin. It had all the feels of the forest, plenty of privacy, and everything we needed for a simple getaway. The location was perfect for ATV riding - close to the Sugar Shack for food and fuel, and close to access to a ton of trails. We would definitely stay again!

awesome place to stay if you want to see the sites around the black hills. centralized so you are about a half hour away from any of the main attractions like Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Custer park, Rapid City. Very quiet and relaxing when you just want to veg out for awhile. Well stocked with everything you need. Beds were a little soft but very comfortable.Very satisfied with our stay!

Our stay at Hillside Creek Cabin was a great getaway to the Black Hills. It was central to a lot of the area destinations. The small community of houses was quiet and felt safe.

Our family of 6 was comfortable in the cabin. It offered plenty of inside and outside space. There isn't much space to run and explore due to the other homes, but enough to enjoy the outdoors.

The cabin was very well stocked with supplies. The Kitchen had everything you need. Just bring the food!

Rated a 4 for general condition , mostly because of low water pressure and slow draining. Not a deal breaker but could be improved.
Because of road construction it was difficult to travel to the south, reason for rating 4.
Over all great view very nice place, would definitely consider staying there again.
The Black Adventures Team are great people to work with and are always available and helpful.

The cabin has everything you would need for a vacation stay, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of clean sheets and towels along with cleaning materials. All local attractions were just a short drive away.
